#NewMusicFriday: The Weeknd, Sam Smith, Logic, Sigrid, Charlie Puth, Ne-Yo, Bebe Rexha & Stefflon Don

The Weeknd has returned with a surprise new album!

The weekend is nearly here, so let’s celebrate with some brand new music. Here’s the newest and hottest releases that you need to get to know!

Sam Smith – Pray Ft. Logic

Sam Smith has released a remix of his song ‘Pray’, and the new version features GRAMMY nominated rapper, Logic. Speaking about the release of the single, Sam wrote on Twitter: “I am so excited for you to hear this new version of one of my favourite tracks on the album. It was an absolute pleasure to collaborate with Logic to create this, such an incredible artist.”

The Weeknd

The Weeknd’s last album was released in 2016, so although the new LP only consists of six songs, we’re more than ready for it! Below is a taster of what you can expect on ‘My Dear Melancholy,’:

Sigrid – I Don’t Want To Know

Following on from her recent single – ‘Raw’ – BBC Sound of 2018 star, Sigrid, has shared another new track. ‘I Don’t Want To Know’ is the second cut in a new series of songs, which are being shared at a rate of one a week. Wonder what Sigrid will have in store for us next week?!

Charlie Puth – Change

Charlie Puth released ‘Change’ earlier this week, but now the singer’s also shared a video for the tune, which was filmed last week at the March For Our Lives demonstration.  The song is aptly-titled ‘Change’ and Charlie explains at the beginning of the new video: “It just feels like the right song to perform right now.”

Ne-Yo – Push Back Ft.  Bebe Rexha & Stefflon Don

Ne-Yo has gotten the party started with his new track ‘Push Back’, which features Bebe Rexha and Stefflon Don. The latest release  showcases Ne-Yo exploring new musical territories – perhaps this is an indication of what his upcoming album will sound like!
