With the blessing of Lil Peep’s mum, Marshmellow has released a track that the pair had worked on together, prior to the young musician’s passing last year.

The song is called ‘Spotlight’ and marks one of the first posthumous releases featuring Peep. Listen to the collaboration below:

Lil Peep began working on the track with the dance producer only a few weeks  before he passed away on November 15th. Marshmellow has said he was orginally unsure about releasing the track, but Lil Peep’s mother specifically asked that her son’s music be shared with the world.

“Peep brought an excitement to music that was unparalleled to anybody I’ve ever met. We started an idea together, that unfortunately we were never able to officially finish together. When I listen to this track now I get chills wishing he could hear it”, Marshmellow said.

“This record is dedicated to Peep’s mother, family, friends and his fans. Gus will live forever through his music and that is something we should all be extremely thankful for.” He added.
